These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of BetterPlace. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms apply to BetterPlace websites, applications, and related features that link to them. Additional terms shown before a particular feature or transaction also apply. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms and meet the minimum-age and guardian-consent requirements that apply where you live. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been used without permission. You are responsible for activity through your account except where applicable law provides otherwise.
BetterPlace may provide accounts, profiles, referrals, BeeP recording and video imports, device-local drafts, media uploads, AI-assisted analysis, Think Tank discovery and participation, publication tools, and Bollars-related features. Features may change, differ by account or location, or be suspended as the Services evolve.
Recording a BeeP may require access to your camera, microphone, browser storage, and precise or approximate location. Imported videos may also be associated with the location collected for the upload flow. If you deny or withdraw required permission, the relevant recording or upload feature may not work, but unrelated parts of the Services may remain available.
Draft storage depends on your browser and device. Some draft media may exist only in the current tab and can be lost if you close or reload it. BetterPlace is not a guaranteed backup service, so keep your own copy of important source media.
You retain ownership of content you create. You must have all rights, permissions, and consents needed to record, upload, analyze, and publish it, including permission from people you record and rights to third-party audio, video, names, marks, or other material.
You grant BetterPlace a non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, transcode, process, analyze, display, distribute, and make your content available as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services. This licence allows us to use service providers for those purposes and does not transfer ownership of your content to BetterPlace.
Review your BeeP, destination, post type, title, and any displayed price before publishing. The current product treats a published BeeP as immutable: authors cannot edit or delete it through the Services after publication. Drafts can be deleted before publication.
BetterPlace may preserve, restrict, disable, or remove content when reasonably required by law, a valid rights request, safety concerns, abuse prevention, service integrity, or technical operation. Product immutability does not limit any right that applicable law requires us to provide.
BetterPlace may use automated systems to generate or assist with titles, transcripts, summaries, tags, analysis, credibility information, and Think Tank suggestions. AI-generated material may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. Review it before publishing or relying on it. It is not professional, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.
Bollars are internal platform credits. They are not money, cryptocurrency, investments, or assets designed for external redemption, sale, or withdrawal. Some actions may be free; others may debit Bollars. The applicable price is displayed before confirmation.
Balance corrections, failed or reversed transactions, refunds, and restorations are handled according to the transaction outcome, the policy displayed for the relevant purchase or action, and applicable law. Additional payment-provider terms may apply when real-money payments are used.
You must not use the Services to:
We may investigate content or activity and restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, the law, another person's rights, payment obligations, safety requirements, or the integrity of the Services. We may preserve information when needed for security, disputes, legal obligations, or enforcement.
Account closure does not necessarily remove content already published or shared, although legal rights and valid removal requests continue to apply. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain effective only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
BetterPlace relies on third-party or separately operated services for functions such as hosting, authentication, video processing, realtime events, maps, payments, communications, security, and AI processing. Their terms and privacy practices may also apply. We are not responsible for third-party services to the extent permitted by applicable law.
BetterPlace and its licensors retain rights in the Services, including software, design, branding, and materials that users do not supply. These Terms do not give you ownership of those materials. Contact us if you believe content on BetterPlace infringes your rights.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis. Availability, processing times, AI output, publication results, third-party systems, and user content may be interrupted, delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We do not promise that every feature will be error-free or continuously available.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, BetterPlace is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the Services. These Terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, and they do not reduce non-waivable consumer rights.
We may update the Services and these Terms. The revision date shows when this version changed. When required by law, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent before a material change takes effect. Continued use after an effective update may indicate acceptance where applicable law permits.
Our Privacy Policy explains how BetterPlace collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information.
